Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) September 26, 2008
Former All-American kicker Rob Zarrilli of Hofstra University has joined the staff of Spectrum Sports Performance in Winter Park, Florida as both a Sports Performance Specialist and mentor to the area’s premier athletes. Zarrilli is taking his work ethic and conditioning format to Spectrum Sports Performance (SSP) and will focus the majority of his time on developing the strength and performance of athletes of all ages who are striding to take themselves to the next level of their particular sport.
Zarrilli however is not fading from his primary goal of obtaining a kicking job in the NFL and by working as a trainer with SSP he will have the ability to maintain his own level of fitness and agility- a great bi-product to working within this premier facility. Ending his college kicking career first in the nation for field goals made per game and on Mel Kiper’s top 5 by position for kickers, Spectrum Sports Performance and its owner and founder Will Hitzelberger are extremely excited for what Zarrilli will offer to the clientele in terms of strength and conditioning. “Rob has had the reputation for being one of the most highly conditioned athletes on his team, and to have him bring that work ethic to our clients is an exciting addition to our already superior staff.” Hitzelberger adds, “And in terms of Rob still reaching towards an offer to kick for an NFL team, we couldn’t be more proud to help him to pursue and attain his goals?any team would be lucky to have him and his exceptional talent.”
As Zarrilli gets settled into his position within Spectrum Sports Performance he will continue to feel right at home in a first class environment with a team of talented experienced trainers. It is this combination and a mission to take every client to the peak of their performance that has rapidly given SSP its reputation; if you are an athlete at any level looking to enhance his or her chances of playing professionally-or just looking for a superior conditioning regiment you go to SSP.
Spectrum Sports Performance hit its stride in early January of 2005, when its founder Will Hitzelberger had just finished a year as a strength coach for the New York Mets. Using his credentials, experience, and networking abilities Hitzelberger soon created a reputation for greatness and the premier athletes from around the Florida area were soon seen utilizing the knowledge of Hitzelberger to enhance their level of performance. It was at this point he partnered with Dan Schuck a Rollins College Graduate and Strength and Conditioning Coach at Trinity Prep High School to form an unparalleled alliance in the Health and fitness industry. The next step for SSP was to contract with the Central Florida Krush and the Central Florida Kraze, and to also contract with two teams at Rollins College, soon growing to ten teams in all.
Recently SSP has contracted with the Central Florida United, a premier youth soccer club, Orlando Volleyball Academy, and other individual teams at different schools; all combining to give SSP an envious client roster by anyone’s measure. Dan oversees all offsite training programs and currently is the facility director at SSP’s elite performance center. The results of SSP’s top-notch staff and clientele is the fundamental reason by which Hitzelberger and Schuck have taken this once small niche company and is now ready to expand and move into a new 7500 sq. ft. facility. Both Will and Dan will be the first to tell you they could not do it with out the help of their talented experienced staff that includes Kallie Jo Jones, Nate Caraway, Ricky Argro, Karen Heavey and now Rob Zarrilli. All of these performance specialist are extremely passionate and committed to SSP’s mission.
Combining the resources of Spectrum Sports Performance and the talents and abilities of Rob Zarrilli there is no telling what will come of Zarrilli’s future as he continues to train for both his clients and the possibility of stepping into the role of kicker for a lucky NFL team. But if you take the word of the leagues most sought after news source for new players, The NFL Draft Countdown, have been quoted as saying that Zarrilli “?Has the talent to play at the next level (and) could be a steal?”
For all those who know Rob Zarrilli they know he will take on his new role as mentor and trainer with the same dedication and integrity that he places on everything he does. He will continue to prove why he is just the right fit for any team looking to add a change maker to its staff or roster. For if talent like Zarrilli’s is measurable and his success defined there is no telling where this story will end. If the NFL does come calling then Zarrilli is confident in the fact that he will be ready. As for Zarrilli’s physical condition and his ability to perform on any given Sunday, Rob simply states “I am healthy and ready, I’m confident in my ability, the only thing I can control now is how hard I work so I’ll be ready when someone calls.”
